Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress who is best famous for her role in film for the movie Ray Undercover Brother and on the television show The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an actor in the theater and film who is an actor and producer. Her acting career began in the theatre. Her appearances then included various television series in independent films, mainstream and movies. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. In BET's amazing series The Book of Negroes she appeared. The actress did not just receive praise for her character, she got a handful of awards and nominations. She made her professional debut as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. She's appeared for the stage on Broadway as a part of Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In the film industry her most well-known roles are the roles she played in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. On television her regular role on ABC's drama series about police High Incident has earned her accolades.
