Mary McCormack was an American actress best known for her portrayals as the lead character in TV series such as "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Also known for her films roles which include "Private Parts", "Deep Impact", "True Crime" and 1408. McCormack is from a non-related family. Her parents are clinical psychotherapist and the owner of an ice cream parlor. After her parents divorced in 1990, she was enrolled at Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut where she graduated with an BA in Comparative Arts. The career of the actress began at the young twelve years old when she appeared in a stage version of the Christmas musical "Amahl and the Night Visitor'. At the theatre, the actress played for many years before her roles were later transferred to screen. McCormack nowadays is recognized for being one of Hollywood's best-known and most versatile performers. She has three daughters and a husband who is a producer/director Michael Morris.
