Madhuri Dixit

MadhuriMadhuri dixit was an Indian actress who is well-known for her roles in the movies 'Beta' Saajan' and 'Hum Hain Koun . Her career in the industry began in the late 1980s. She gained popularity through her part as a supporting actress in the film Tezaab. In the film 'Dil she played with Aamir Khan. She was born in Mumbai by a middle-class family. From a young age she began to learn dance. She attempted acting when she was an teen however, it wasn't an easy task. A majority of her first films were unsuccessful. The actress eventually made it to the top and was one of the most well-known actors in Indian cinema. She had a short break from her career following her marriage and then returned to the entertainment industry. Recently, she played a major role in the movie "Gulaab Gang" that focused on the triumphs and struggles of women in India. Dixit was nominated 15 times for Filmfare Awards. Eight of these awards were hers. She also received the Padma Shri (the fourth highest civilian award in India). Her social work is another a highlight.
